My trip to the airport was horrible. This is how it started out.
This is how it went. I also took pictures of the two cars I saw that had spun off of the road on my way to the airport, but they didn't turn out.
One thing I like about flying JetBlue is that Fuddruckers is near the gate. This is where I ate dinner before I got on the plane.
I thought this was my plane that they were de-icing, but they switched the gate for my flight after I took this picture. The flight boarded 20 minutes late and took off an hour after that.
This is a picture of baggage claim in the Las Vegas airport. Any flight where both I and my bags both safely arrive at our intended destination is a good flight in my book.
This is the entrance hallway to my room at the Luxor, where I arrived shortly after 1:00 a.m. PST.
Here's the desk.
The closet.
The bed.
The bath.
The sink.
The shower.
Here's the view out my window, looking straight out.
And here's the view looking down.
I was here for World of Concrete 2007.
This is half of the registration area. I took other pictures, but you get the idea. It was a big registration area.
I took some photos on the show floor before I saw this sign. So, no photos from the floor on this blog, sorry.
This is what part of the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center looks like empty.
This is a picture taken from one end of the South Hall to the other. You can't really get a sense of the size of the space from these pictures.
This is what I saw when I poked my head around the corner of one of the walls in the registration area.
This was my ticket to the Slayer concert in the House of Blues in Las Vegas. Slayer was in town the same time as I was--how lucky was that!
This is my car when I got back to it early Saturday morning. No snow this time, only ice--how wonderful?
I saw these signs on U.S. Route 15 on my way home from the airport. In the middle of all this cold and ice, Hot Tub Expo sounds like a pretty good show to have.
