Today I took advantage of unseasonable weather (hooray, global warming!) to replace the damaged fender on my car. This is a picture of my car with the fender removed and the hood up. You would have to look hard to find any damage in this picture, but there is some.
When I took the fender off, this piece of the headlamp assembly fell out. Oops.
This is a comparison of my old fender to the new one.
So here is the new fender in place and the new hood. I've been lucky in the repair so far. The color of the junk parts matches my car's color.
Just another picture from the side. I have a few more bolts to tighten and plastic parts to adjust, but I ran out of daylight. The fender is basically attached at this point, though. You can also see the battery charger in this picture. I did not have luck recharging the battery. Replacing the battery is a major chore. Hopefully it just needs more time with the charger or something.
