This is Ocean City, Maryland, on Valentine's Day, 2010.
And this is the Santa Monica Pier in California, on the same day, at a local time about two hours later than the time that the previous picture was taken. I was in Santa Monica to visit my brother. He lives six blocks or so from here.
He has it rough.
