Another day, another geocache

Today was a rough day geocaching. My first attempt left me standing in center field.

Nearby, I managed to find this stuffed animal--or what was left of it. I’m not sure if the cache is located in it or not, but if it is, I might not be finding this one.

Next up, I tried to find a cache that is near this vacuum cleaner somewhere. I have no idea where because I never found it.

I tried to find another nearby cache. The picture from this angle might make this area look remote, but it isn’t, because behind me is a shopping center. And for most of the time, women on break (I guess) smoking. I basically decided to come back to this one later on.

On my next attempt, I discovered these fragments.

I assume from this that they once belonged to a deer.

I looked around for the cache, but all I found was this golf ball. I thought this one was a standard size. If I find out that it is a micro cache, maybe I’ll go back and take a closer look at the golf ball.

The golf ball was pretty far back a trail. I skipped over a small creek, walked through a field, and came upon this jacket. Whoever was last seen wearing this jacket--yeah, that person is probably not far from here.

Maybe in these sheds.

Or maybe this barn.

Could be, huh? There was definitely a large bird here that I disturbed very much by walking around.

Oops.

Seriously, the sign ought to read, "Go ahead. Trespass. We dare you."

I gave up on the cache that lead me off into the woods and decided to go and try to find another one. I also thought the cache was a larger size, but I was confused. It really helps to know what you are looking for. This is what I found. This is not what I was looking for.

So I gave up on that one and headed to the spot where I took this picture. It is at the end of a cul de sac. The self storage place is the only thing back here. "Cul de sac" is French for "A random family in a U-Haul will drive back into the cul de sac and park there for no reason, thoroughly messing up your attempt to search for a cache in peace."

I was about to end the day with no finds when at last I was able to find a nano cache. Yeah, there were people still coming out to smoke behind the shopping center. But in between their breaks, I was able to find the nano cache, sign it, and put it back. The cache container is in this picture in case you are wondering what it looks like. Of course, you have to find it in the picture first. I put it back where I found it after I took this picture.
